On Sunday, February 1, starting around 8:00 AM EST, Martini will be undergoing a site and server upgrade.
The upgrade may take several hours, so please plan not to use Martini Live on that day.
If you have already paid to use Martini on February 1, please see the note at the end of this article.
What You Need to Do (Nothing 🙂)
You don’t need to do anything before the upgrade.
All existing projects will be automatically migrated into a workspace created for you.
After the upgrade, Martini will create a default workspace under your account. This workspace will contain all projects you’ve previously created.
Example:
If you, Mikael Tyrsen, have created 10 projects in the past, you’ll see a new workspace called:
Mikael Tyrsen’s Workspace
All 10 projects will live there automatically.
- Anyone you previously invited to specific projects will remain collaborators on those projects and continue to have access.
- No permissions or project access will be lost.
From here, you can choose to:
- Continue using the free workspace, or
- Upgrade to a paid plan to keep creating projects and invite more team members.
This is also a great time for team leaders, studios, and production companies to create dedicated company workspaces and invite key team members.
Introducing Workspaces
Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on a major evolution of Martini: Workspaces.
Until now, everyone—individuals and companies alike—used Martini through individual accounts. With this upgrade, every user can now create one or more workspaces.
A workspace can be:
- An individual working solo
- A small team of a few collaborators
- A full studio with 10 to hundreds of team members
Workspaces allow Martini to work the way real productions work.
Subscriptions at the Workspace Level
With workspaces in place, we’ve moved away from one-time project fees and introduced monthly and yearly subscriptions at the workspace level.
There are several tiers to choose from:
Individual (Free)
A simple way to explore Martini with one user and a limited number of projects.
Pro User
A single-user plan built for directors, producers, and creatives working with clients, crew, and larger teams. Includes advanced sharing and collaboration features.
Small Team
Up to 10 team members. Designed for studios juggling multiple shoots that need shared access, permissions, and workflow tools.
Big Team
Built for high-volume teams with multiple departments, heavy collaboration, and admin-level controls. Ideal for agencies, networks, and enterprise workflows.
Built for How Productions Actually Work
In real productions, a company might invite producers, directors, and crew members to work on a project—some regularly, others just once.
With workspaces:
- Regular collaborators can be added directly to the workspace and gain ongoing access.
- One-off collaborators can be invited per project without being added to the full workspace.
This gives you more flexibility, easier invitations, and better visibility into who’s working where.
Martini Go – Native iOS App (Coming Soon)
But wait—that’s not all.
Alongside this upgrade, we’ve been working on our new native iOS app, Martini Go, and we’re incredibly excited to get it into your hands.
Martini Live View has always been available as a web app on smart devices, but web apps are limited.
With Martini Go, Live View becomes faster, smoother, and more powerful—with improved navigation and native performance—making it a must-have companion to Martini screens on set.
Martini Go will be released shortly after the February 1 update, followed by a software upgrade for our Martini screens to bring them even closer to the native iOS experience.
More 5G Martini Screens Coming
For those who rent Martini screens, we’re excited to share that more 5G Martini screens are on the way and will be available for rent soon.
Our 5G screens have proven to be incredibly reliable—working straight out of the box without requiring Wi-Fi. Because of that, all new screens we produce will now be 5G by default.
Questions or Existing Shoots?

We’re excited for this next chapter of Martini and can’t wait for you to experience it.
